For Jamaica's 50th Celebration, they are offering a scholarship to Jamaican students in specifics fields of study.

The Prime Minister's legacy programme, the Jamaica 50th Anniversary Scholarship and Merit Awards Programme, will be open for submissions on July 2 for undergraduate students and also post graduate students who intend to pursue studies in areas considered strategic priorities. Nominations close on July 31.
Students interested in applying for the tertiary level scholarships must be entering the degree programme during September 2012 in the disciplines of: government and public administration; economics; science and technology (ICT); maritime studies, energy, earth science and environment studies; economic and social development; tourism; cultural studies; urban planning; visual and performing arts; jurisprudence; medicine; agriculture.

Applicants are NOT required to submit multiple application forms except where denoted by an asterick (*).
The prescribed application form (online) will allow applicants to list all the scholarships for which they are applying.

(*) means separate application forms required, these forms are only available at the Financial Aid Office, Student Services Building, UTech.
